Episode 2.02

Connor, Dave, and Amy are heading back to their car after an evening at a club when they are confronted by three feral teen boys with knives.

Act One

Dave and Amy escape, but Connor takes them on instead of letting them steal his wallet. He is about to be staked as a vampire when Dave and Amy return in their car and chase the boys off.

The next day, Faith finds Aiden hard at work cataloguing the Syndicate library materials. He comes to her later with an interesting case, the Transformationists--a cult of humans endowing themselves with demon traits, both physical and mental.

Connor delivers a book from the campus library to a theology professor. She is also a scholar of magicks and demonology. He asks her about the Anunnaki, the mysterious name written on Julia Moore's napkin. Professor Roth gives him some books on Sumerian mythology. After Connor leaves, we see the man from the episode one teaser approach Professor Roth's office. She knows him.

Act Two

Faith, Aiden, and Connor go to an abandoned recycling plant to meet the Transformationists. Their leader, Hedrion, claims to have knowledge of the future. He believes the day will come when demons take back the Earth. They are doing what they are doing to prepare for that day. Hedrion touches Connor and is disturbed by what he "reads" during the encounter.

Faith decides to leave the Transformationists alone, but on their way out, they are attacked by a demon that has escaped captivity in the plant. Connor subdues it and Faith stabs it, only to see it turn into a human.

Act Three

The gang get the man into Faith's car and drop him off at the emergency room, then return to the Slayer Council office to investigate the Transformationists. They find out very little. Faith decides to return to the plant. Aiden offers to track down Kate Lockley, while Connor heads over to campus to speak to Professor Roth. Professor Roth tells Connor that the man Faith almost killed was likely a human in the process of transforming wholesale into a demon who was mortally wounded before the process was complete.

Act Four

Faith discovers the Transformationists attempting to transport several unconscious demons of the kind she nearly killed out of the plant. Connor arrives to tell her that the demons won't revert back to human form after their transformation is complete. But Faith can't risk killing them if there is a possibility they might revert. She needs another plan for subduing the Transformationists.

And she has one. As she confronts them behind the plant, her Slayers arrive, armed with tranq guns. But the demonic Tranformationists are only enraged by tranq guns, and attack anyone near them. Their victims start to turn into demons as well. One goes after Faith. Connor shoots the demon with a crossbow. Just as things are looking grim, the cavalry arrives--Faith put a call in to the Special Ops soldiers she met the year before. They capture the demons and take the Tranformationist leaders into custody.

As Hedrion leaves, he tells Connor that he has seen his future. "The blood's on your hand," he warns.
