A strange man is holding three blind teens prisoner in a temple in the Himalayas, trying to find out the location of an ancient scroll of prophecy.

Act One

We catch up with Connor at the end of the summer getting drunk at frat party. But he hasn't lost his instincts. He can still sense a vampire when one flirts with him.

Faith arrives home from New Orleans to find Aiden on her doorstep. He's been in Rome, training with former Watchers such as Rupert Giles. Faith isn't happy to see him after he nearly betrayed her and the Slayers to the Syndicate last Spring.

Act Two

Aiden heads over to Dave's dorm room, where Connor is now living. Dave is concerned because Connor is staying out till all hours, sleeping late, and skipping classes. Aiden finds Connor at his new job at the university library. Connor isn't very communicative with him.

Meanwhile, Faith tries to convince the Temple Luna coven to help her make sense of the vast Syndicate library, which she discovered after she defeated them last Spring. It is a collection of prophecies, mystical texts, talismans, and files. Vaughne tells her they don't have the expertise to help.

Connor has been spending the summer developing his artistic talent. After working on some comic book panel sketches, he heads back to his dorm. On the way, he runs into a woman, Julia Moore, who dies in his arms of burn wounds to the chest. She places a cocktail napkin in his hand upon which is written a phone number and the words, "Who are the Anunnaki?"

Act Three

Faith is having trouble talking Connor into helping her with the slayage. She is also getting pressure from Buffy and Giles to add a Watcher-type to her team, and breaks down and asks Aiden to help her. Together, they move the Syndicate library out of Temple Luna, but not before fighting off a group of demons who want to steal it.

Connor heads to club Sekhmet in Long Beach to find out more about Julia Moore.

Act Four

No one seems to know much about the dead girl at the creepy Gothic nightclub, save for a pretty young patron, Alix, who Connor quickly identifies as (yet) a(nother) vampire (flirting with him). Alix enigmatically offers to help Connor in his investigation of Julia Moore's death.

After a high-speed car chase through Hollywood, Faith and Aiden settle for storing the library in Angel's storage garage. Faith asks Aiden to inventory the library, and keep it a secret from Giles.

Connor's run-in with Julia Mooore and Alix is the impetus he needs to get back in the game. He pays a visit to Faith at the Slayer Council Office, offering his assistance. And there should be plenty of challenges ahead with the Syndicate library to help them hunt down the bad guys.

Episode 2.02 summary
